How to pay the Fetești bridge toll
There are four options. Three allow you to pay after crossing the bridge.

CNAIR’s official portal. Enter the registration number, choose the category and number of crossings, then pay by card. You pay exactly 19 lei, with no surcharge.
By SMS to 7577
Orange, Vodafone, Telekom and RCS&RDS, on contract or prepaid. Handy when you are already travelling, but it costs more than 19 lei.
At a petrol station
OMV Petrom, MOL, MOL Retail Comerț, Rompetrol, SOCAR Petroleum, Lukoil and UNTRR.
Cash at the toll plaza
At staffed barrier lanes. This is the only option that does not allow later payment.
What happens at the toll plaza
The Fetești plaza has 3 lanes in each direction. If you have paid ahead, you do not stop: lanes 2 and 3 have no barrier.

Restrictions
- Only one crossing can be bought by SMS.
- Only for vehicles registered in Romania.
- It does not work when the message is sent from outside Romania.
- An invalid format is ignored without an error message.
You can pay after crossing the bridge
Few drivers know this: through an authorised retailer or by SMS, you can pay before crossing or until midnight on the day after the crossing.
If you crossed on Monday at 15:00, you have until midnight on Tuesday. Cash payment at the toll plaza is the exception and must be made on the spot.
Delaying is still risky: if you forget, the fine applies. But a hurried unpaid crossing can still be corrected in time.

Mistakes that cost you
Wrong registration number. The toll is issued for the number you enter. One wrong character pays for another vehicle, and the amount is not refunded.
Wrong category. A category 1 toll is not valid for a category 2 vehicle.
Not waiting for confirmation. An SMS toll exists only after the final message. A “DA” sent after 3 hours no longer counts.
Forgetting the expiry. An unused toll expires after 12 months.
Assuming it covers a return journey. It does not. Each direction is charged separately.
